"Victoria Barajas Walker has been a game changer for my 14 year old Azteca horse, Viola, and I! Background is important here. I bought my horse from a previous owner who got her from a rescue over 9 years ago that saved her and her babies off a slaughter truck.
Her previous owner rode her English style. When I bought her over a year ago I wanted to transition her to Western. I wasn't confident in riding her as she was considered Green Broke. I decided to start from square one and have a trainer assess her and work with her. She noticed she was off balance and she didn't ride her until she was more balanced through groundwork. Then she rode her and noticed something's that needed more work and I stepped back at that point and had Victoria step in for an assessment. She noticed a lot of tight areas in her body and keyed in on some specific riding issues. She suggested Chiropractic work and body work which I did and that opened up some bad past trauma and no one could catch her for over a month. Victoria came and was able to get her halter on and do some important grounding work with her. We did this through a few sessions until she was able to easily halter her and get her into the barn as she was avoiding that too.
From that point on I hired Victoria to continue to work with her to get through some issues such as rushing into transitions, and other things. I continued chiropractic to keep her better aligned. With Victoria's consistency in training and time with us my horse has significantly softened, she is more relaxed, and she is having so much fun learning new things. I have been able to do some amazing ground work and riding lessons on her and we are beginning to start our riding journey together.
Victoria has helped me get her to her best self. I'll be adding massage for her in a couple of weeks which will continue to help bring her even more relaxation. Victoria has been the key in helping my girl become a happy, relaxed, fun loving mare and building my confidence as we go! We have both enjoyed watching her learn, grow, and enjoy life. I'll continue to have Victoria get us out on trails and continue this wonderful and amazing journey of building a special bond between Viola and I where we can truly spend quality time together."
